He is instead the last Green Seer, Brynden Rivers, the former Hand of Aerys I, Lord Commander of the Night' Watch (sent to the wall with his great nephew Maester Aemon) and a commander of Targaryen forces during the Blackfyre Rebellion against his half-brother Bittersteel.
